Messagemaker Displays Ltd. has supplied a Urban Variable Message Sign to TFL and Cubic Transportation Systems as a solution to their existing VMS which was starting to fail due to age. The new VMS needed to work in the current control system already in uses by TFL and had to fit onto the current frame system to make it quick and easy to install to avoid too much disruption to the road network.

Affinity Water had previously used a Vehicle Activated Signage however had noticed that they were having a major increase in speeding around the car park by employees and customers once that sign had stopped working. So, they wanted to implement a new LED speed sign. The staff were feeling nervous about a possible accident that could happen in the car park.

Swindon Borough Council had a requirement for full-colour VMS (Variable Message Signs) to be installed on a high-traffic road in Swindon to aid them in their project to influence motorists to opt for greener modes of transport.
